Dream Boats

I spent the weekend in one of my favorite places on earth.  New Orleans.  This was my third year to go with a group from north Mississippi to do some Bourbon Street ministry.  Don't worry.  I don't hold signs that proclaim hatred.  I don't yell through a mega-phone.  I don't condemn.  In fact, I am all against condemnation.  Read John 3:17.  Jesus didn't come into this world to condemn but to save.  I was priviledged to talk to many people.  Pray for some.  I really wanted to tell you guys about another expierence I had.  This older guy that does Bourbon Street ministry every Saturday asked if he could pray for me.  I, of course, said sure.  As he starts praying for me, he goes on to ask God to send me the godly man of my dreams.  I'm going to be honest.  My eyes popped open for that part of the prayer.  No other person had ever prayed that God would send me someone before.  I didn't know how to react.  He went on to pray for my children and grandchildren.  It was really  Everyone who knows me knows that I would like to have a life partner.  I understand that God could choose for me to be single for life.  I could die a single lady.  I would be okay.  My purpose for life is not to get married.  God didn't create me just to marry a hot man.  I was created to give Him glory.  However, I do desire to get married and have a best friend come along with me for all of life's adventures.  I would really like to have children.  It was so different to have a stranger pray for those things for me.  He didn't even know my heart.  He didn't know my desires.  I guess that is all I wanted to tell/write.  Don't worry, I'll keep you posted on when/if my dream boat comes into my life.

I'll be on the "look out".

Comments don't hurt my feelings.
