I'm Baaacccckkkk

Well guys, I'm back.
Most of you probably don't know that I started student teaching in September.  I spent six weeks at a middle school and now I am in the middle of teaching high school.  Man oh man, are these little gremlins full of attitude.  Sheesh.
Today, I am embracing Thanksgiving week with open arms.  This is the first time I get a full week for Thanksgiving since I was in high school.  I'm just waiting for those school bells to ring in an hour.  (This is my planning period at school, by the way.  I'm not neglecting the gremlins.)
So for my little break over Thanksgiving week, I'm planning to upload my three newest lesson plans that I have created....err...modified this semester.  (With student examples.  Bam.)
You're very welcome

See you soon!

What I've Been Reading

Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistle Stop Cafe
by: Fannie Flag

Kabul Beauty School
by: Deborah Rodriguez

Better than Fiction
by: Various Authors

Wanderlust
by: Elisabeth Eaves

The Marriage Bureau for Rich People
by: Farahad Zama

Where'd You Go, Bernadette
by: Maria Semple

Rain Song
by: Alice J. Whisler

The Lost Continent
by: Bill Bryson

The Bell Jar
by: Sylvia Plath

There is only one out of this bunch that I wouldn't recommend: The Lost Continent.  Don't read it unless you love reading about a self absorbed man journey across America visiting small towns and complaining about them.  Who wants to read a book of complaints from a man full of prejudices?  Not me.

Where'd You Go, Bernadette is my new favorite book.  I recommend it for everyone.  It was a beautiful read and I really related to the main character, Bernadette.  It was poetic and witty and written well.  And there was also little bit about Chihuly, the famous glass artist.  What more could you ask for?

All in all, these were all excellent reads...except The Lost Continent.  That was awful.

Updates and Such

Well, it's been a while.  Twenty-three days to be exact.  Life happens.  I think just a little Insta-update will suffice for now.  Let's meet up more often in June.

1)  I've been trying new things.  Pink Lemonade cookies?  What??  They were actually pretty good.
2)  This book has been on my to-read list for a while now.
3)  I've finally started sewing on my machine.  Hopefully I can cross off something from my 25 before 25 list.  Check it out here.
4)  Just saving cats from trees and stuff.
5)  I made some earrings with a friend yesterday.  How do think they turned out?

What about you?  What have you been up to?
Have a great Sunday!

Insta Five Friday

Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I've been a little non-existent in the blogging world.  What can I say?  It's finals.

1)  I found this Australian movie during our Blockbusters big blowout.
2)  Finally finished my creative writing portfolio.  Yeah-uh!
3)  I'm keeping this sweet baby every week.  He's the best baby ever.
4)  I leave my mark wherever I go.  Oops
5)  Printmaking project.  Gotta get it done.

Finals are killing me.
Grrr.

Insta Five Friday

1.  I guess I have to give a shout-out to my hype girl, Jessica, for curling my hair Saturday.
2.  Jessica again!?!  That lucky girl.  We went to a worship night in Fondren that was beautiful.
3.  Then we snuck around my library's basement and avoiding doing school work.
4.  I'm tryna get my worship on and Christian Mingle keeps distracting me.  Ain't nobody got time for that!
5.  I got some sun with my roomie!  I promise I'm not nekkid.  I'm wearing a strapless bathing suit.

Linking up as always.
