Do you remember me telling you my crazy idea of making a pillow before I left for the summer? Remember how I never finished it? I am a huge procrasinator. My sewer friend Jessica actually was the one to finish this craft project. I say it was a joint effort. I gave the idea and she did the work. Ha ha. The truth is that she is really talented at sewing and I am just a baby sewer. There were three of us who worked on this craft idea and we used scraps of each other's fabric to make the bird part. It was a way of having a part of each other. The idea was that all three of us friends would have something to remind us of each other as we are spread apart this summer. My friend, Sarah, is back home in Brookhaven, Jessica is in South Korea, and I am in Australia. This pillow has traveled around the world with me. It was a comfort on the plane (I hate planes) and I now sleep with it every night. Thank you Jessica for finishing my pillow before I left.
