so i have decided to start a new series for the new year.  i will be adding a few of my favorite things every week for the first month of 2010!  so please feel free to comment and let me know what some of your favorite things are and what helps you get through a hard day.

Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles

Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings

The Eve of Christmas

i have forgotten to mention the fact that i have made it through my first semester as an art major.  it has been a great semester.  i got my grades for my classes and i got all a's in my art classes so that is a major plus. :)  i love my major alot.  i never knew i would like it so much.  i have learned so much too.  in art history, (which is kinda my favorite since i love to know what i am talking about) i learned about alot of different art cultures.  i have to say my favorite would be the minoan culture (pre-atlantis distruction) or maybe the "dark ages".  i had to put quotations on that because as my art instructor makes it clear that those ages were filled with so much light and not dark at all.  i have no idea why but i think i might teach art history.  in drawing, i have learned to trust my ability to draw.  i have survived two and three point persceptive.  i tried different medium.  i have to say my favorite is probably a nice pen and a juicy permenant marker.  in design, i learned how i love to put designs going off the pages, which my instructor loves a whole lot.  i really can't wait for next semester.  i will be living at home and commuting, so i will have more workspace and will probably get more art supplies.  i will continue in my journey as an art major and take all my basic classes (art history, drawing, design) part two.  it should be interesting.  stay tuned!

okay, so i am the queen of putting my foot in my mouth.  like really, i make more  mistakes than anyone i know.  my mom used to say i was careless.  i know for a fact that i am just stupid.  my mouth has its own motor and the wrong words just spill out before i can stop them.  i am not just talking about saying the wrong things at the wrong time.  i mean i say the stupidest things all the time.  for example i have a friend who is sensitive of a certian subject.  well guess who brings that subject up?  you guessed it, me!  now everything is all awkward.  i am cursed.  my family has a long history of doing stupid things.  i am used to it.  we are unlucky.  i am unlucky.  does anyone have any duct tape?

First Post

so this is my first blog post.  yay.  i really don't know why i decided to start a blog.  they just seem so fun.  so to start this blog, i will state some random facts about myself.

• i change my favorite colors often.  right now they are pink, red, yellow, green...ect.
• i have 5 pets.  a large mut named co-co, a pomeranian named lucy, and 3 cats named bojangles, percy, and sassy.
• i can not wait for my own apartment and i even already have a collection of glassware
• i love being a hostess
• i misspell alot
• i work at this christian summer camp for girls called Camp Garaywa
• i love baking
• i love oil pastels
• my favorite food is egg rolls
• i want to be a missionary, mother of 8, and college art history instructor
• i have a soon-to-be 13 year old sister named madeline
